• Private school students: $10,474/year • Students with disabilities (IEP on file with TEA): Up to $30,000/year • Homeschool students: $2,000/year • All Texas K-12 students eligible (including those already in private school) • Application window: February 4 – March 17, 2026 • Not first-come, first-served—take your time, apply carefully • Apply at: educationfreedom.texas.gov  Funding notifications begin April 2026. Funds available starting July 1, 2026.

Families with an IEP: Read This Before March 17.

If your child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP), they may qualify for up to $30,000 per year. But there’s one critical step:  Call your school district this week and confirm your child’s IEP has been submitted to the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The IEP must be on file with TEA before the March 17 application deadline to qualify for the higher amount.
